There’s this raven outside my studio.

He comes by, well I’d say weekly, for quite sometime now. He watches me, sometimes. And it’s clear he really has an opinion. Don’t want to let him down.

Today, he landed near this pile of special timbers, it was figured-pattern mahogany I found long ago and acquired for its own sake. I have been saving it back for the right piece, but that never seemed to come. Nothing was quite special enough.

He tapped the wood as if to say, ‘go ahead, this, it’s time for you to use it.’ So I created Fauna Corvus.

Beautiful Nature, you should never be hoarded, or taken for granted.
